jenglassesI am a communications professional with twenty years of experience in media relations, creative and literary development, professional writing, marketing, publicity and Web 2.0/digital media strategy. I have applied my expertise in a variety of professional environments, including small start-ups, non-profits, arts organizations and a Fortune 500 company, among others.

I launched Hoopla Media & Communications (now Robin Hill Media) in March 2002 with my partner, Fritz Robenalt. Prior to that, as President of Jennifer Hill Public Relations, I landed and serviced over 35 accounts in a two-year period. In 2001, JHPR was acquired by GCI Read-Poland, Texas’ oldest public relations firm, where I served as Director of Consumer Marketing and Public Relations.

My primary professional focus has been creating and implementing dynamic communications plans. My flagship client from 1997-2001 was the Texas Book Festival, an annual event founded and chaired by First Lady Laura Bush in 1996. I have secured media coverage for my clients in nationally acclaimed media outlets, including television programs The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Dallas Morning News, The Hollywood Reporter, Glamour, Good Morning America, Cosmo Girl, CNN, The Boston Globe, The New York Times, Newsweek, The San Antonio Express-News and The Wall Street Journal. I have written for my industry’s leading publication, PR Week, and my career successes have been published in the Austin Business Journal, The Austin-American Statesman and The Austin Chronicle. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Writing and minors in Mass Communications and Philosophy from Emerson College in Boston, MA.

In Los Angeles, I worked as a story analyst for film companies including Spelling Films International, Red Wagon Productions at Tri Star, Turner Pictures and Keystone Entertainment. I have taught screenwriting workshops for South by Southwest Film Festival and served as a Conference Director for the Austin Film Festival. I have also served on several film and book related boards and committees for organizations including Reel Women, Austin Film Society, Cinemaker Coop, Cinematexas, Texas Writers Month and the Texas Book Festival.
